Master Bathroom / Columbus, Ohio

This was a 2 story renovation project in Ohio. We designed a large shower with dark natural tiles and white horizontal surfaces. We installed a Kohler DTV custom shower system. I had a blast learning how to design with such a smart plumbing system.

To bring more light in the room we added a sky light and mounted an over head vanity light. On the opposite side of the room we optimized space by mounting the closet door on a barn door hing. To me this level of detail really elevates the finial design.

The Portland South Water Front project was a success! Today Michael and I installed the final items. The client, a lovely professional couple from the Midwest, just needed a refresher on their one bedroom apartment in Portland.

 We focused on simple decorations and additions to their fabulously designed high rise apartment. The balcony has a killer view, but the client really needed to bring more dominance to the interior.

We purchased a abstract painting from a local artist, Hilary Winfield, and installed the Staghorns Ferns on taxidermy plaques. With some simple lighting and some other decor the apartment had a more complete feel.

It was a pleasure working with them!

Fireplace Design / Columbus, Ohio

This another project that was completed after I had left the firm. Again, I collaborated with designer/salewomen, Louise Buddy, on the design and layout of the fireplace.

The most notable element is the heavy re-claimed beams we integrated into the stone layout.

In an effort to be more aware and documented, I have collected some of my interior projects from a few years back. I worked with a fabulous design/build firm in Columbus, Ohio about 2.5 years ago. I met and worked with some wonderful people!

Kitchen Design / Columbus, Ohio

A 1950’s ranch home was converted to an entertaining oasis! As recent empty nesters, the client wanted a soft modern feel with a Southwestern undertone.

We selected a color palette that reflected the western desert sunsets found in most of their art collection.

To open up the space we removed the wall between the kitchen and dinning room to combine the two spaces into one zone. A traditional galley style kitchen was ideal for the long and narrow space. To expand further, per the clients request we add a simple 4x8 sky light. The drywall surrounding the skylight was flared on a 45 degree angle to elevate the ceiling height.

The project was a sucess!

Cellar Design / Columbus, Ohio

A wine cellar renovation transformed a small wood rack wine closet, into a modern wine cellar with led lights and metal racking. The client was in dire need for more bottle storage. We combined two small cellars into a large 1/2” glass envelope equip with magnum and standard bottle storage, controlled environment and granite tile floors.
